One ways!  We all know them.  They are the ones that are your BFF when they need something.  An invitation, a little stroking, maybe some coaching, something approved.  We have the one ways in our family, our friends, on our Facebook pages, basically you can not escape them.   One ways are very similar to narcissists, only they are so good at working you it is not always apparent.   One ways have so much in common with each other.

One ways are the first to compliment you.  The first to invite you.  They have got all the solutions to everything you happen to need… except they never do seem to follow up. You see one ways always have an agenda.  They are important to them!!   Yep.  It is all about them.  Their stories, their children, their job, their charities,their problems.  As long as you listen to them without interrupting,  you are good.  The minute you turn it into a 2 way your done.   One ways always seem to hang up when you have something to say. Suddenly they have just arrived at where they are going.  Ooops there is static on the line.  Oh my one ways are the worst listeners… you see they are always thinking about what …you guessed it what they are about to say.    When you give your energy away to these people they feel like vampires.  The suck the living blood out of you.  No kidding.  Not always easy to spot because they are such good manipulators.   One ways look like everyone else except they have an agenda and it could be a multitude of things.  It is great to be needed, it is also great to be appreciated.

The old saying “outta sight outta mind” rings true.   One ways have a knack for showing up at the right time for them.   Right before their birthdays and holidays.  Oh yeah…and  when they need you.  They will pop in and out of your life as long as you let them. It never occurs to  them to check in just to see how you are doing because everyone knows how great you are.   Be careful of the one ways they are everywhere.  Rarely do the one ways ever figure out that life is a  2 way street.  When they do be sure to invite them back into your life.  #fingerscrossed
